It was the year 1870 when in the southeast Brabant city of Budel, Gerardus Arts set up beer brewery ‘The Hope’. He chose that name ‘hoping everything would go well’. The anchor, the symbol of ‘hope’, adorned the brewery logo.

Today, many years later, Gerardus Arts' dream has fully come true. For Budelse Brouwerij, now managed by the fourth generation of the Arts family, is still alive and kicking. Not only in the southeast of Brabant, but increasingly also in other parts of the Netherlands.

Despite the use of modern means of production, all good things from the old days have remained. This means that tradition and craftsmanship are still the essentials of Budels Beer. Brewed with soft water from Brabant wells, thoroughbred barley, the finest hops, and a yeast culture with a character of its own. Everything revolves around care for the product: from selecting the best raw materials up to and including delivery at the client.

The result is a broad and surprising range of high-quality beers. Greatly appreciated by the real beer connoisseur and awarded with various international recognitions and medals throughout the years.
